They say that we girls who live in provinces are more like maria clara,

"mahinhin, mapagmahal, magalang" because they all thought that civilization only lies at
Metro Manila. they never realized that every provinces
has its own civilization, even more civilized.
It is true, but not all of the women. many factors are considered of why women in the Philippines are becoming liberated unlike women of the past. Women in the past do as to what the men would want them to do because they believe without these men, they can't live on their own. women in the past rarely be seen crazy( meaning drunk, out at night etc.). and these women have a common attitude, mahinhin. not all but majority of them.

at the story, LOVE in the cornhusks by Aida Rivera-Ford, Tinang followed her destiny, not to be with Amado. She never gave in too much of her love, because she knows it will only hurt her. and like Pilar too, at the story,the CORRAL by Edith Tiempo. She knows what makes her happy and what is the right thing to do. never give in easily.

But what happen to these women? not enough genes to pass it to the next generation?

slowly, they changed into something so surprising. they became more LIBERATED. had their own decisions unlike the women in the past. and they can now live on their own even though without men in their life. Although it is good that they don't depend much on men. still they should keep their minds onto their appearance and what would others think of them .

but hey, still we PINAY GIRLS ROCK!
