litfili week5

a girl was walkin in their village.she was about to meet her friend near the clubhouse to go to church.it was almost 5.30pm in the afternoon where children go biking and running down the streets. as she was minding her own kind of thaang. she noticed the car passed by her turn around and stopped. it was wierd for her but she kept on walking thinking it was nothing.

30yr.old-man:ms! ms! ms!

and the girl did not give any attention to the man thinking she is not the one being called.

30yr.old-man:ms! ms! pwede makipag kilala?

the girl just smiled and continued walking thinking he would go away.

30yr.old-man: ms, pwede bang makipagkilala, ako si (and he said his name) eh ikaw? anong pangalan mo?
the girl: po?
(and she said her name) po..
30yr.old-man: pwede ko ba mahingi number mo?
the girl: magagalit po kasi mama ko, share po kasi kami sa phone na to
(not!)
30yr.old-man: talaga lng? sige tetext lang kita pag nakita kitang lumabas sa bahay niyo. malapit lang ako doon sa bahay niyo eh.
the girl: magagalit po kasi talaga mama ko eh.

then he touched her in her shoulders,

because the girl kept on walking, she was near the clubhouse and so far away from his car.
she was very scared when the man touched her shoulders. and he touched her again.

30yr.old-man: sige na, ihatid na kita sa pupuntahan mo.
the girl:hindi na po, may kasama po kasi ako.
30yr.old-man: sige na, ayaw mo naman bigay number mo, hatid na nga lng kita.

the girl was walking faster.

the girl: wag na po. may kasama po kasi ako, inaantay na po niya ako.
30yr.old-man: sige, malayo na ko sa kotse ko,.

the girl did not look back at the man again. after the man left she ran in tears.and hid on inner streets so the man would not see her again. as she was walkin towards her friend, she cried even more because she never thought that she could get out of that conversation.

stories like these and other contemporary stories are somewhat based true to their lives. because they wrote the stories in such detail that only people involved in the situation would know. issues that are very important to those involved but neglected by others. The story Magnificence by Estrella Aflon, she maybe not the girl in the story, but she knows from her heart how the girl feels about the situation. the writer thought of something her audience would understand even when she used a lot of symbols to express deeper thoughts. and like the story Summer Solstice by Nick Joaquin, he defined women as someone who should not be underestimated by anyone.

unlike canon stories, they are issues but less important to the society because it involves only a couple. about their issues and how they solve it as grown-ups. Of how guys cheat to their wives and girlfriends. on how they manage to get away with it.
like in the story Games by Noelle De Jesus, the woman in the story already knows that her partner is cheating on her that is why it is okay for her to play games with him. she already know and she just want to catch him by his words.

it is actually, kind of fulfilling when you catch somebody doing a crime. but how do you really feel about it? are you actually happy?

Aww Samanatha, that was freaky. Some people are just disgusting :(

I really agree with this statement. While canon writers write about a struggle with norms of society, contemporary writers write more about problems with the person's identity.

Sometimes it feels like even if justice is served, the damage has been done like the person gets life imprisonment but the victim is still dead, the relationship is over but he can't give back the love and trust that he wasted. However, when you think about it, when justice is served, it can help in ensuring that it never happens again.

fool me once, shame on you.. fool me twice, shame on me. :p
